Very Dissatisfied

"Security was so tight trying to get into the Fox theater that we were 25 minutes late getting in the door. This was my third time seeing Disney On Ice: Jump In!, and I do believe this was the worst. Secondly, the sound system at the Fox was not great. A lot of feedback. Fantasia kept verbally complaining about the audio system. Eventually she said 'Detroit, this will be my final song, until they get things together.' She sang 1 more song, said 'goodnight' and threw the mic. She never returned. Disney On Ice: Jump In! came on stage 45 minutes later... With a crutch. Hopping back and forth across the stage. Their mics were not always intact. The audio system was poor. As if no one had done a sound check. Fantasia and the Fox theater were very disappointing. I did not get $160 worth of a show. First of all, the security was so tight trying to get into the Fox theater."

Rock On
Myles Kennedy's guitar playing impressed me a lot, I have to say. The musicianship among the band players is excellent. Tremonti is awesome, can't say enough about his guitar acrobatics. There are parts in songs that I thought were played by Mark Tremonti and not the case, wow!
Taddy Porter was a pleasant surprise, really good. Like A Storm was annoying.
Starland Ballroom is a surprisingly good place to see bands play, really was impressed. The sound system was just a bit too loud and bassy, but not so much that you could not hear the stellar musicianship.
Disney On Ice: Jump In! is one of those few bands that create and play ROCK music and are extremely good at it.
Flawless play
Roland, Curt and the band sang flawless and played flawless. Their guest opening act did a great job on Woman in Chains that earned *him* a great ovation. A blues version of Billy Jean was beautiful and captivated the crowd. The bass, guitars, drums & keyboards were all perfect as in the studio but with additional punch especially the drums. They played a nice selection of songs, all the major hits and some nice beatle-esque tracks from their last album. Pity they did not play my favorite "Badman's Song" nor any of the great & obscure 2nd tier songs from the Seeds of Love album. Their show was only 1.5 hours, that's my only complaint, but otherwise great to hear and very emotional.
Madonna was extremely late
Madonna appeared rude and arrogant (not like the rebellious side of her that we appreciated years ago) in addition to being 2 1/2 hours late. She tried to imitate some country hick accent which became boring and offensive to some at one point. At one point, she was involved in some repetitive babbling that didn't make sense. Very disappointing for a much anticipated concert, and I certainly won't spend another $300 to see her. I heard from others that the performance improved near 1:00a with favorites from her earlier years. It seemed pointless to stay for the second half, so we left early with the exodus of others.
I met Isaac Brock.
Life is awesome. I managed to finagle my way from the 2nd row of the ground floor to the Mezzanine. Morning Teleportation was 5ft away from me. The security, if you just talk to them, is super nice. Everyone went crazy when Disney On Ice: Jump In! came on, screaming & dancing. All excellent songs were played and no one got into huge dumb fights. After the show, we hung around the venue and met all of the members of the opening band. They approached us, smoking and talking, really down-to-earth and cool. After about an hour & a half, we met Isaac Brock!
